“Okwaraji (Remix)” is a song by Nigerian rapper, Blaqbonez. The track is a tribute to Samuel Sochukwuma Okwaraji, a Nigerian professional footballer who collapsed and died on the field during a World Cup qualifier match against Angola in 1989. Okwaraji’s untimely death shocked the world and sparked conversations about the lack of adequate medical facilities in Nigerian stadiums.
Blaqbonez’s remix of the song features additional verses from Bella Shmurda and was released in 2020. The video for the remix, directed by The Myth, was also released in 2021
